Gas line in concrete

A couple of years ago we upgraded the exterior gas line with new black pipe, wraped with black tape from Pasco. Recently I discovered that a new concrete pour had encased a portion of the pipe and also damaged the black tape and exposed several sections to rust. My question is what and how corrosive is the concrete to the pipe?

The rust may be a problem. I don't know your location, but I'd be really concerned about freeze/thaw/expansion/contraction/settlement of the concrete. Any of these could break the pipe.
