Gas Hot Water Tank Replacement

How far is the water heater from the farthest facet? If a long distance it might have been for a circulation pump

Gas Hot Water Tank Replacement

The farthest hot water faucet is around 30 linear feet of water line. Our supply pressure is good everywhere. I was thinking maybe they tapped in a Humidifier?, but wouldn't that be on a cold line? Anyways, I see no harm in eliminating it? Thanks

Is that 1/2" or 3/4" lines? Almost looks like 1/2" in the photo....too small...

I believe they are 5/8 lines, it's an older house. Not going to replumb the whole house though.

Pipe is measured from the INSIDE.
~5/8" outside (copper) will be 1/2" inside.
