Gas grill hookup

I've seen in some houses in my area, where they have a grill hookup on the deck or patio, that is run from (assuming) the natural gas line.

Isn't the gas that runs through a house different than propane, or is it still safe to use?

I would love to have one at my house, but not sure of the ins and outs.

Gas grill hookup

You would have to convert the gas grill to NG from LP. The grill distributor should have these new orifices.

Gas grill hookup

just like a steak going in the broiler setting on your stove.with the orifice change for NG...tee off in the basement and pop it out at the closest point to the location of the BBQ'r with a shut off...then go i with a flex 'd gas line like on your dryer.

Gas grill hookup

Back in the old timey days, natural gas units were all that were available. Well, that or mesquite we picked up from pipeline right of ways and cooked in a 55 gallon drum cut in half.
