Garbage disposal leaking

I did not see a tiny spoon in my garbage disposal when I turned it on the other day and when I went to turn it off, I flipped the wrong switch, which means it turned with the spoon in for about 20 seconds.

The unit still works but it is leaking now. What should I look now? I was thinking about disassembling and "rebuilding" if there are any rebuild kits out there. Sorry, I do know the brand... (I can check later).

I'd think Looking for Exactly Where it's Leaking might be the 1st step........
And,........
I Doubt you'll find any Rebuild Kits,....... Replacement is the Usual answer.......

one of 2 things. either the color mounting has come lose due to the spoon banging around. check the connection and tighten if needed.
or the spoon damaged the Bering seal then it would leak straight out the bottom. if there replace the unit

If it isn't the washer to the drain connection, replace it.
