Garbage Disposal and Backed up Kitchen Sink [Video Included]

Every time I turn on my garbage disposal in one side of my sink the other side of my skin has water shoot out of the drain. Sometimes it's fairly mild as seen in this video but other times it shoots up in my face.

I've poured a whole jug of Liquid Plumber down the side without the disposal twice and so far it's done nothing to fix the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Is there a trap on the drain adjacent to the disposal?

If so I believe this is why, move the trap to down stream of the tie point for both the disposal and the other sink.

Drain cleaners are garbage. You need to clear the drain. First try plugging side then plunge the other. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to take the trap and continuous waste apart. Make sure that's all clean, then cable (snake) the drain.

you should really take a picture of the plumbing under the sink so everybody knows the orientation of the drains, trap, and garbage disposal

Your drains under the sink is not plumbed correctly. Somebody used the wrong fittings or lowered the trap when the disposal was installed

The best method (code in my area) is to have two P-traps--one for each sink.
