New to this forum, but have posts under "painting." My question is more out of curiosity than help. I have done a survey among my friends and neighbors regarding which side of the sink their garbage disposal is on. Mine is on the right as are most of the people I polled, almost 2 to 1.
Is their a plumbing "rule" about placement or is it purely up to the contractor (new construction)? I would think it might have something to do with how the countertop is configured. As a retiree, I think about things like this.
You have too much idle time, go back to work!!!!!!!
There is not right or wrong location, it is where you(or the contractor) put it. If both sink bowls are the same depth, either side is OK. If one bowl deeper than the other, the shallow bowl gets it, since there is more space under. Where the wall connection is located can also affect the decision.
