garbage disposal

I went back 6 pages and didn't see a topic that I could use. My garbage disposal just died. By dying I mean it has a rust hole in the side. It's about 12 years old and has worked well up to now. I'm just wondering if there is a make or model that leads the pack in performance and longevity. I'm happy with the Badger 1/3 HP model we have, just wondering if there have been any real advances in garbage disposals.

get an insinkerator with the stainless grind chamber and you wont have to worry about it rotting through like your current one. the badger is insinkerator's builder model. I just bought a new one for the same reason and the house we had had a badger also. the new stainless one was around 190.00 at home depot or lowes. since you already have an insinkerator the fitting in the sink is the same so it would be an easy swap.

Danny, I found the insinkerator evoultion 3/4 hp model w/ the stainless steel grind chamber online. Sounds like the 1 you mentioned. For some reason not available near me. I ordered on line. Thanks
