Galvanized Water Supply
Hi everyone, been browsing for a while as I undertake a huge DIY project, but have hit my first roadblock.
Midnight plumbers took all the copper out of the house I am re-doing. Finally time to tackle the water supply. I had assumed it was flexible copper coming up through the basement slab. However, my pipe cutters were not working on it, so I used (eek) a hacksaw on it instead. To my surprised, the cross-section was silver in color.
My immediate reaction was that it must be galvanized. But the pipe is extremely flexible, and not threaded. Any ideas from the brilliant crowd here. I am stumped…
Thanks!
