I've got a leak where my kitchen sink connects to the cast iron main line. It is likely it is leaking under sink as well, so I figure I should just start trying to figure out how I can replace it. Seemed simple to replace it with pvc until I couldn't find any info on how I would remove it from the cast iron pipe and how I would get the pvc properly connected.
Any suggestions? Also I'm not opposed to replacing with galvanized pipe, but because I don't have any experience and I'm a woman, I'm not sure how much muscle it takes to get them tightly connected.
