Galv>brass>copper gas pipe question

I'm connecting a galvanized gas pipe to copper tubing via a brass compression fitting in an outdoor application. Do I have the isolation I need from the copper to the gas pipe to prevent galvanic corrosion?
TIA, Kirk.

Galv>brass>copper gas pipe question

Havent been in on enough gas stuff yet to know all the ins and outs, etc, but I do know that all of our exterior galvanized pipe has to have the plastic coating on it, and any joints have to be field wrapped.... I don't know the exact material we use, some kind of tape......... maybe someone else can chime in there....

As far as the two different metals meeting, i'm not 100% sure in a gas situation, but water heaters use copper supply flex connected to galvanized nipples....

Those nipples should be plastic lined dielectrics to prevent corrosion. They look like a regular galvanized pipe nipple from the outside.

Upon further thought, I guess I should be using flared fittings with gas, huh?
