Frozen line from well - dont know what to do.

We have no water coming in from the well and suspect it is a frozen line. The line is actually something more like plastic (not sure of correct name). So we are not sure how to unfreeze it. there is one area in our back yard where the line goes along the house and under the back door, and suspect this is where is is frozen. Is there any way to fix this before calling in someone?

Put a couple of heaters or halogen lights on it, hit it with a hair dryer until you get water.... (don't get the heaters or light too close to a plastic line)

After that, insulate the line well when a freeze is expected.

For lines that are too shallow but not exposed enough to heat conveniently I've added straw on top of the area about 2 ft. deep to thaw buried lines.

Drain a few 5 gallon buckets of hot water from your water heater open up the cap outside and pour down the well as fast as you can. the adapter that connects to your well might be frozen have had a few of those this year
