frozen gas line connection


I'm relocating a gas range and relocating gas lines to fit new location
one of the old connections cannot be loosened. any advice on loosening the connection or is it just brute force?

frozen gas line connection


2 - 24" pipe wrenches. One to hold the stationary end, the other to turn the other end (yea brute force)

Yup, you probably need a larger wrench. Most of the time when someone has a stuck fitting it's because they're trying to use a 12in wrench on a fifty year old rusted 1in fitting. Don't forget to hold back though.

Larger wrenches than you've tried, or use a cheater pipe on the handle of the largest turning pipe wrench that you have for leverage.
