Ford Snap Clamps
I've tried searching the forum for the answer to this but didn't find anything.
I'm trying to patch a leak on an old galvanized pipe using a Ford Snap Clamp. It's the 1/2 x 6 kind.
I'm just wondering how tight I should torque the bolts. I assume that if I tighten it too far then I could potentially damage the pipe even more.
Any help is appreciated.

1. Scrape the pipe to remove as much dirt and corrosion as possible so the surface is smooth.

25 ft. lbs. of torque, 7/16" bolts (Snap Clamp sizes 2" and up) to 35 ft. lbs. of torque.
4. Pressure test for leaks before backfilling.
That's exactly what I was looking for.
Now you can play wack a mole untill the next spot starts to leak.
If it's that bad it all needs to come out, if not you can look foward to some major expencive flooding inside the house at some point.
Yea I'm only using this as a temporary fix until I have some free time to do a proper job.
