Flushometer and Top Spud Toilet

Good Evening Everyone.

I am remodeling my bathroom and I decided to change the flushometer and the toilet (back spud toilet). I changed the flushometer first and tried it with the old toilet and everything worked fine. When installing the new toilet which is a top spud (no back spuds available), I noticed that the top spud will not line up with the vaccum breaker. They are about 2 inches apart.

The supply store where I got the toilet from will not take back the toilet.

What do I do!?!

Can I install some type of s shaped adapter that will connect the bottom end of the vaccum breaker to the top spud?

I tried looking at the home depot/Lowes website, but I can't find any type of s shaped adapter.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Andres

Flushometer and Top Spud Toilet

Hadn't thought about it until you mentioned your situation,, have a power flush at work, sounds very similar to yours, has more then normal bends in the piping. I would check with a commercial plumbing house, they'll give advise and have the parts you need.
