flushing lines


i just sweated a bunch of fitting. i flushed the lines pretty well. but it got me to thinking (yeah, i do that now & then). is flux toxic ? just how much is needed to completely clean the the pipes ?

oh. i have softened water. i'n my experience, this water does not rinse things as well as hard water. or even chicago water.

the new flux is not toxic...flushing 2-5 min should be fine...ben sr

I'm gonna piggyback another question. I just ran new copper to a new bathroom. Should I flush the pipes before installing the shower valve or shower head?
