Floor drain for washing machines
 

I'm thinking of installing this for a new house; I've seen it in some houses, and it seems to make sense, so that if the hose bursts, the water will just drain onto the floor drain. Any thought?

Why not install those SS Braided washer hoses, alot cheaper.
