floor drain with a stopper
here is my project:
i am building a custom-designed wash tub in my basement which will look much like a tub used in many janitorial stations. it will be separated by a one-foot wall and inside i want it to look like a tile shower, i.e. have a FLAT drain (a circular one with a grid). however, what i also want but have never seen with floor drains is the ability to stop them. the tub will also have a spout, much like a sink one. a shower setup will not work because the drain is not flat. a sink setup will not work for the same reason. does anyone know what avails to correspond to this design ? think of a floor/shower drain which has a stopper. thanks very much, - a |
Not that I'm aware of.

If you get desperate you can cut a circular piece of thin rubber large enough to cover the drain and the static pressure of the water will hold it down while allowing the level to rise to your liking. Or you can pay 20 buck$ for something like this laundry sink stopper.
