Flood safe washing machine hoses

I just purchased a new washing machine and installed Floodsafe hoses, the washing machine did not run through its cycle, the supply house sent out another washer, same thing, they then sent a third washer, same problem. After eliminating electrical problems I then started to eliminate plumbing problems, YEP it was the Floodsafe hoses causing the problems,so beware of using Floodsafe hoses on washing machines even if it states on the package they are for washing machines.

I am now wearing clean cloths finally

Flood safe washing machine hoses

If you put the hose on the tap of your wash tub, did water come out? Almost sounds as if they had a blockage of some sort.

Flood safe washing machine hoses

The action of suddenly calling for water can cause the floodsafes to shut off
They then need to be reset

The floodsafe hoses also had a problem with the connections
They would snap right off - causing a flood

Flood safe washing machine hoses

Appliance repairman told me not to use with my new HE washer. The rapid opening of the solenoid valve looks like a line break to the flood-safe and it cuts the water off. Not every time but it will occasionally.
