Fleible drain hose for shower?
Below is a quote from a steam/shower kit I am installing. They state a flexible drain hose for the shower will work without modification. True? Problems? I'm the guy trying not to breakup my concrete to relocate my current drain. :)
"Almost every steam shower today comes with both flexible water lines and a flexible drain hose, as long as the water lines are on the wall where the steam shower is being installed and the drain is underneath the base the shower can be installed without any modification to your plumbing."
What is this "flexible drainline" tying into? Is there a trap and vent? Flexible normally means "corrugated" which easily clogs. Being a shower, where hair and body oils are present, I would not recommend it. Unless it is running to a floor drain, I don't know of anywhere this would be code.
