we are a young couple with two kids, 9 year old and 2 year old. we are looking to purchase a home, we arae on a tight budget. we found a place in our price range with most of what we need but discovered today that it has no stink pipes installed to the exsisting plumbing....Not knowing much about plumbing we are worried it will cost toomuch to have someone come in and install them or that it will be toomuch for us to DIY.... and advice?

I assume you are talking about venting the drains in the house. It would be odd not to have some kind of venting system at all. Did you learn this from the home inspection or are you assuming because you can not see a vent coming out of the roof? It might help if you could describe the home and give the age of the structure.

this is the MLS Listing...http://www.realtor.ca/propertyDetail...ertyId=9006622
we actually did not see a pipe or any vent thru the roof, we did not get a building inspection yet.... the house actually looks like it might have been a ongoing project itself.. there is a mix of newer windows (last 10 years) and older windows (over 20 years... ie; dbl pane vinyl vs single pane wooden frams)
