Fiberglass Water Tank Repair

I have a fiberglass bladder pressure tank at my water well. When I primed it, I noticed a small leak between the tank and the collar at the top where the air valve is. A little water and air were hissing out at a very slow speed. Could this be causing me to lose pressure on the tank? If so, can it be repaired?
Thanks -- Carl

You'll need to replace the tank. There should be no water in the top portion of the tank. The presence of water indicates that the bladder that separates the pressurized air from the water has ruptured.

I would take a look at the fittings in that area, might be that the seal on the inside of the tank needs to be replaced and not the whole tank.
That type of tank has different fittings that can be replaced with out having to replace the whole set up.
Is there a book on that tank? it might have the parts list for finding the part at fault.
