Fiberglass shower removal

Stephen S. Member   Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 118	Fiberglass shower removal I am in the process of gutting out the master shower and there's a standing fiberglass shower. How should I remove it ? Do people just destroy it with power tools ? If so, how? Thank you. Attached Images

cm3putter Member   Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 35	Fiberglass shower removal as tpolk suggested, shut off water, remove trim pieces including drain piece (threaded to drain line), remove drywall around tub. Tub will have flange (lip) nailed to studs. Pull loose from studs. Check behind tub walls if possible at that point for electrical lines, etc. Then cut up with sawzal.

I cut the shower half way and get stucked ... how do I remove the water on/ off knob and detach the drain (threaded?). Guess what I found behind the bathtub !!! Wasp nest !!!
