fernco to ABS underground?

wombosi Member   Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Western Masschusetts Posts: 574	fernco to ABS underground? tomorrow i plan on connecting a new drain line to the old orangeburg pipe in the ground that runs to the septic. is it OK to put a rubber fernco under ground for this purpose? for that matter ABS? will be about 70 feet of ABS, connecting to the orangeburg with an ABS Wye into fernco couplings. thanks.

TheEplumber call me E     Join Date: Jul 2010 Location: Idaho Posts: 3,884	fernco to ABS underground? ferncos are fine outside the foundation. should be no problem. Consider getting rid of the OB too while your in the ditch- bad stuff.

If you're going through all that trouble you might as well. How far is the run? 10' or so?
