Faucet leak problem

I've had this problem for a long time and I finally feel like fixing it. The faucet doesn't exactly leak. When I turn the handle off completely, faces straight left or right, the water runs. When I leave it at an angle the water stops. It's annoying cause I always have to leave the handle at the right angle.

The O-rings seem fine, but the cartridge does seem really old. I have no idea how to fix this.

Could you please tell us what kind of faucet this is?

Can't you reposition the handle by removing it, so it's in the position you want it at?

I tried that. No matter what position I set it in, I always have to turn the handle slightly to make the water stop.

And it's a compression type faucet.

What brand is this faucet?

Price Pfister. Don't know the exact model though.

Are the stems not of the spline type?

I have no idea what that means.

Take the handle off, where the handle connects to the stem, can you post a picture, that would be useful.

Will do, but can't until tomorrow.

Waiting in the wings..........

Good catch, I think it's a peerlees faucet, the cam can be tricky to line up, but yes is this a single lever faucet? Describe it if you can.

You still should be able to reposition the handle where you want it. I was correct the first time this is not a single control faucet. That is an AM/STD stem.
