Faucet handle repair
My Hot handle is leaking when I turn it on. I removed the plastic handle and collar and the outer stem extension. how do I get to the piece inside the pipe that the handle goes on. I guess I need to take it all to the store to get the right one to replace .But I don't know how to get it out. PleaseHELP. (This is a mobile home)
Thanks Margie |

Faucet handle repair
A picture would help---Usually there is a 'cap nut'--the shaft goes through a hole in the middle of the cap nut----If you remove the cap nut the shaft should unscrew--counter clock wise for the hot--
Under the cap nut will be some 'packing'--either a washer or a teflon string, wrapped around the shaft-- That is usually the cause of the leaking. |
