External Waste Water Drain

Hi-

Has anyone ever had experience/confirmation that it's ok to do straight vertical drop (of about 10inches) for waste water (bath/sink) bossed into a w.c (angled) waste feed pipe - which itself feeds into the main soil stack? My concern is that all waste should be correctly angled to avoid "water rushing, solids remaining" and you never see vertical runs of any pipes into soil pipes anywhere, whether feed or main stack....

Thanks

TL

Vertical drops are fine, it is a good thing or none of us would have plumbing above the first floor. Water and solids will fall together it is on the horizontal pipes when pitch becomes a concern and that should be at 1/4" per foot.
