Evenly splitting water down 4 lines

Lets say you have a pump and are wanting to pump an even (or close) amount of water down 4 separate tubes. What is the best way to do this without sacrificing much pressure?

I would make a header and each branch would have a ball valve so you could throttle it down. Of course if you use it alot the balls in the ball valve would wear. Technically I think you would need a "globe" valve- it has a rubber washer like old school faucets.
