Enough Space for Garbage Disposal and Deep Sink?

So I'm remodeling the kitchen ... just finished putting in the cabinets, getting ready to install the countertops. I'm looking at sinks to purchase and thinking about getting a deeper one, like 9-10 inches. But I'm wondering if a sink that deep will fit with the garbage disposal I already bought, which is fairly large. Here's the dimensions:

Garbage disposal height - 16 & 1/16
Internal height of cabinet - 28 & 3/4

So this leaves 12 & 11/16 of space, which is obviously more than a 10 in sink, but is that enough for the pvc fittings as well? Will a deeper sink fit or should I focus on a standard 8" depth?

So basically you have 2 11/16" for the sink basket and coupler?

It'd be tight, but I think it would make it.

Be aware: I don't have a GD, so I have nothing to measure to make sure.

What elevation is your drain at the wall?
How far down the disposal is it's outlet?

TheEplumber -- The sink is actually in an island, so the drain goes straight through the floor. The discharge elbow piece of the garbage disposal is 7.25" from the top of the disposal to the center of the elbow. The elbow itself is 1.5" wide.

So, if I did my math right- you'll be about 11" above the cabinet base to the center of the disposal outlet. that should be enough room, although it will be tight.

yes if my math is also correct you have enough room.....yes it will be tight:yes:
