Eljer steel tub floor support

I am putting a Westlake model Eljer tub in. Just did exact same tub in a different bath. When you step inside the tub like to take a shower it feels like it is flexing and not solid even tho it is a steel tub,,,,directions say no further support needed.

Maybe cause the house (old) was a little crooked and we used what we had. Tub drains okay BUT just not as solid as I would like. Can I set THIS new tub in a mortar bed of thinset??? or other mortar?you tell me if there is any way to absolute support tub floor to make it "SOLID as a rock???

Related issue I measured floor to bottom of lip where 2 X4 gets mounted on wall for support and drain end of tub is 1/4 inch more than foot end of tub...seems like it should be other way around and tub bottom should set directly on solid subfloor!!

Lately I need to "re-engineer" various products to make them work properly.

My tub is solid because I added shims under it to give it additional support (which was not mentioned to do in the instructions).

I also added piers and a beam under it in the crawlspace.

I would say do whatever you need to do to make it right!

Yes, use bagged Mortar Mix. DO NOT use thinset.
