Dryer exhaust question

what would be wrong with exhausting a dryer into the attic?

Im putting a laundry room on the main level of the house but in the middle of the house where there is no outside walls. would it be ok to just vent it into the attic?

Some people may point out that you are dumping water vapor into the attic which may lead to mold and rotten framing members. Other people may point out that you are putting flammable lint into the attic.

Your attic, sure go ahead, but not my attic. You will introduce water vapor which can lead to mold, rotten wood and insulation which will not insulate. The lint is flammable. Vent that stuff outside.

Not permitted by code, and certainly not a good idea for a lot of reasons. If it is a gas dryer, then you're pumping carbon monoxide into the home as well. Take the hard road and do it right.
