Hi! So my driveway (which slopes toward the house) had a drainage system that was decades old and has now completely disintigrated. It was a clay pipe and is now not a pipe at all, just dirt and roots. I was told that the only way to put a new pipe in would be to dig up the driveway and install a new one.
An alternative was suggested of installing a drain attached to a sump pump instead, so that's what I did. For the most part, it works ok, but it has been collecting mud and little bits of things that get down the drain. It clogs up the intake on my sump pump, defeating the whole purpose and driving me crazy. Any advice on how to keep it clean?
