Drilling hole in bathroom sink top
I installed a new vanity and sink top with the standard 3 hole 4" on center configuration. Nancy loved this high arched brushed nickel faucet she found. I checked that it was 4" on center and we got it thinking it would fit fine. I intalled the faucet no problem even though the faucet base was bigger than I hoped. Then when I tried to hook up the pop up drain assembly - Problem. The small hole on the faucet base sits behind the arhed spout of course but, it is too far back for the middle hole to come into play. The only solution I see is drilling a small hole down trough the sink top to allow the plunger to go through to the linkagge underneath. I am leary of drilling through the vanity top and do not want to damage it for the sake of a pop up drain. I would not trust any of my old drills and bits for the job if I did decide to do it.Any one else run into a peoblem like this? Thanks Greg
