Drain for washing machine

I have a drain pan underneath my washing machine on the second floor of my house. I have had washer problems, lots of water, and now need to pull up the pan to get the water dried up. I have removed the four screws that hold it to the floor, there is a white ring sitting under the screem for the drain and I cannot get the pan to come up. The whole conduit is moving, how to I detach the pan from the drain line itself?

Don't detach the drain pan any further. Wedge the outer edge to be perhaps a quarter inch above the floor (don't force it) and bloe a hair dryer under there for several hours. Repeat on the next side, then the third side, etc.

You canb also use a coat hanger wire and push a towel under the wedged up drain pan to sop up any significant amount of water before using the hair dryer.,

Does that mean the pan is glued to the drain? I'm imagining pcv glue?

dont the screws through the pan into the floor kinda defeat the purpose of the pan or were they sealed? a picture would be most helpful
