drain installation

hi evrybody,i was going to install a shower pan and plumb it but decided to call a pro.the instructions said not to nail shower pan flange but to put mortar underneath.when i got home from work i noticed the plumber put screws in it and cracked the flange, also the drain is a 2 inch pipe going through a rubber gasket(caulk sealer)into pee trap instructions said that pipe should be even with gasket but the pipe is a quarter inch higher and it allows water to sit around pipe.all in all it looks ok its just that he didnt follow the instructions and am a bit worried.he .thank you

If it isn't right per the manufacturer's instructions, have a heart-to-heart with the plumber and ask him to either re-do it or warranty his work in writing for at least a year for damages, etc.
Good Luck!
Mike
