Does anyone know where to get metric waste pipes?
I have european shampoo sinks in a hair salon that take 40mm flexible waste pipes. They typically tear about once a year because the sink basin tilts up and down to accommodate different sized people. The tear occurs where the pipe attaches to the drain stem. Anyway I've traditionally just ordered more of them through the beauty supply shop but I know I can get them cheaper if I could buy in bulk. I can't seem to find a US supplier that carries metric waste pipes. Does anyone know of anybody who stocks them?
The pipe I'm using now is Italian made from SPB. It reads S20P07B620I Autoestinguente UL 94 VO Size 40mm Magnum Air. It's a grey, ribbed tube. Thanks! |
I would try a supply house that specializes in industrial hose.
Something like this. http://www.spokanehose.com/ Maybe give them a call. If they don't have it, they may be able to refer you to someone that does. |
i have that flexible pipe on the bath , wash basin , etc its standered over here , but its not that flexable and i think the hot water would make it brittle and crack , you can get a large clear plastic hose reinforced with cord in the middle ( like your garden hose ) 1/8" to 1/4" thick made for hot and cold water

thanks
I realize I could get a number of hose types but my problem is that 40mm isn't widely available in the USA. We usually use 1 1/2".
