I have installed this trap on "plaster sinks" in art rooms at schools and minor emergency offices before. They sit under the sink and have a removable top and a basket inside. When the job is done reconnect the trap for normal use and empty the pail/bucket . No need to over think a simple problem with codes and all that kind of stuff .
