Question

do I need a water pressure regulator for a sump buddy model 300402

Just bought a back up pump that works on city water pressure. Can't find much information but one person, (saw it somewhere else on the net) said you need need a water pressure regulator for a sump buddy model 300402. I'm not a plumber, in fact, don't really have much experience but can usually figure things out. The other person said that the pump works best at 45-55psi. Are there any plumbers out there who look at these posts?
thanks for any advice!
