Do I need a pressure/bladder tank

Hey guys- I do a lot of DIY, but leave major plumbing and electrical to the pros.

I am in the process of having my wtaer switch from well to county/public. Tap is in place, plumber just has to connect to the house.

Question is: Do I still need the bladder tank if I am coming off the well?

No---the plumber will bypass the pressure tank---

As long as there is no check valve/anti-siphon valve between your hot water and cold water supply....no.

Depending on local code, and the construction of the piping at the meter box, you may need an expansion tank on the water heater (or somewhere on the cold system)

Around here they install a check valve at the meter, so when the water heater heats, it builds pressure in the system, and an expansion tank is required to alleviate this problem.

You definitely don't need one as large as you had for your well.
