Diverter valve working OK?

Just replaced a diverter valve in my bath/shower with a new one, yet I still get a small amount of water comng out the bath faucet when the shower is called. Is this normal or should there be absolutely no water coming out the faucet when switched to the shower. Delta single hot/cold control with push-in diverter.

Diverter valve working OK?

I have seen very few over the years that actually work 100%. Some minor leakage is to be expected.

Most of the time I am shocked when there is no leaking water.
