distribution methods help please

I'm designing a new plumbing system for the house. Sewer installation is forcing a rethink of the whole water supply system.

There are two distribution methods shown below. One is a circle with outlets. This is one used by many TV programs, including H on H and TOH.

The second one is the only one available through my local supplier. It is an over-sized capture point with outlets.

Which is better? Which installs easier with PEX?

Thanks for the help
