I removed a broken garbage disposal unit from my kitchen's double sink.
I don't want a garbage disposal; and plan to install a drain pipe in it's place. Sounds like a simple project. Now here is the complication:
The two sink flanges of the sink match the color of the sink (tan).
I would like to keep the color of the original sink flange, but all the sink flanges at the hardware store are chrome (not tan). So I want to use the original disposal sink flange (tan), but without a disposal attached.
Is there a way to connect the disposal's sink flange to a drain pipe? The disposal's sink flange has a much wider inside diameter than the 1½ inch drain pipe. Is there an adapter to connect a disposal sink flange to a 1½ inch drain pipe?
Thank you.
