Dishwasher Install

hooking up my dishwasher. It is in a new location. The previous owners had a rubber tube coming from the dishwasher looped up on the cabinet then down to the basement directly into the main sewage pipe. The adaptor they have on the sewage line (not sure what its call) the rubber tub goes over it and fits snug. Is this a correct way for drainage?

The previous owner's dishwasher was not working, so they removed the power line to it and the hot water line. I see the hot water line where they cut it off a valve in the basement, will probably just connect a new line to that and run it through the floor. Should a dishwasher be on its own breaker? From what I can see looks like they just tapped into a junction box below where the dishwasher was (junction box is in the basement).

No. Not even close to correct.

Is there a (good) reason the DW is not being installed NEXT TO THE SINK?

How about solving the butchered up plumbing issues first?
Then you can move on to fixing the butchered up electrical.
