Dishwasher Drain Installation Q's

Got a friend wanting me to help instal a dishwasher, which in and of itself is easy. However, here's the challenge. It will be installed in an island, 5 feet from the sink. I can access from the basement , and the plumbing passes right under the island area, so the water is no problem, the question is about the drain. Can a "T" be cut into the 1-1/2" pcv for the drain (I'm sure it can), but will it need to be vented? What would be the best way to vent? Tying into the vent stack would not be easy, as that is still cast iron. Thoughts or ideas appreciated.

Dishwasher Drain Installation Q's

The end of the existing drain hose must fit loosely into a drain pipe although it can be clamped firmly onto the stud provided in a sink disposer. Do not splice onto the hose.

I'm not sure of the minimum dimensions needed but a drain pipe into which the hose end is inserted directly must start with a vertical and then go to a trap (not sure of how long a horizontal between the initial vertical and the trap can be.)

Dishwasher Drain Installation Q's

Sure, don't know why I didn't think of it. Sort of like a washing machine drain setup.
Thanks for the revelation.
