Difficulty removing a slip-fit tub spout?

campbeac Newbie Join Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 1	Difficulty removing a slip-fit tub spout? I am trying to replace a tub spout because the diverter does not hold a tight seal. I discovered the existing tub spout is a slip fit only after trying to unscrew the spout. Now the hole underneath the spout is not lined up with the bolt. It is a tight fit between the wall and the ring that is pinching the spout to the pipe. Any suggestions for how to get at the bolt?
