Detecting Water Leak in Back Yard

Is there anyway to determine where a water leak is coming from? The main water line goes from the street to the front of the house. In my backyard along my fence to my neighbor water is bubbling up. We do not have a sprinkler system running near that area. The water department came out and shut the main off and the water stopped bubbling. The house is vacant and we just put in on the market to sell. Who should we call to detect or repair? Regular plumber or someone with a specialty? We live in the Denver area.
