Delta's new style DST faucet, thoughts?

I need a new kitchen faucet and when I look around at all of the big box stores in the area (Lowes, HD, etc), all of the Delta faucets have this new Diamond Seal Technology with the integrated pex supply lines. There is no option of installing your own supply lines, and on many of them the base feels like plastic rather than solid brass. Also, they use a cartridge now rather than the old style ball valve with the rubber seals and springs. Should I avoid these faucets for any reason or do you think I would be OK with installing one?
