Deep set recess breach

hi i have basins that ahave deep set recess breeches and i want to put shallow recess tap ware in them please is there a way i can reset the breech depth or do i need to get a plumber to reset them just trying to revamp 1980's bathroom and save a few quid at the same time ,

Also my shower taps are crooked so when i screwed my tap surrounds on they dont sit flush is there a "safe way" to straighten them or a hammer and a block of wood all i need ??

Welcome to the Forum.
Sorry is the US I are not familiar with the term 'breeches'. Can you include your location in your profile?

The only 'safe' way to straighten the shower taps is to open up the wall and re-mount the valve et al square. If you were to try and use a hammer & a block of wood you'd likely break the pipe at/or behind the wall and cause major water damage.

I suspect that this work may be beyond your abilities and strongly suggest that calling in a pro would save you a few 'quid' in the long run.
