Dedicated connections to a dishwasher


Hello experts,

I am doing full kitchen renovation including new floors and adding a dishwasher. The dishwasher will be in a peninsula, about 8 feet away from the sink. It seemed logical to me to bring dedicated water supply and drain lines hidden under the floor to where it is going to be rather than passing the hoses inside of the new cabinets. However, after having looked at a few discussions on different forums I got totally confused about how it should be done to conform to the code. I am in Ontario if that matters much.

Yes, Canada does allow AAVs to be used for island sinks. Check with the local authorities though, just to be certain. Below is a diagram of how it should be piped.
