cutting gas line


Shut gas off at meter, vent piping real good, use 2 pipe wrenches to remove fittings and pipe back to where the pipe you want to remove comes out of the main, plug or cap it there using the proper pipe dope, leak check with proper gage and soap bubbles, turn main back on, relight all pilots.

shut off at meter vent line start cutting ..hacksaw..sawzall ..pipe wrenchs they all work....after repairs....pressure test, soap fittings... dial test it all works...question is are you certified to work on gas lines??????? you should be ..gas company would not be happy...neither would your family if something happens....just my opinion....be careful......think about it...ben sr
