How do I Connect PEX to a cut end of galvanized pipe in an underground instalation?

You don't. Not without rethreading the cut end of galvanized anyway.

Cut Galvanized pipe to PEX connection question.


Best to eliminate the galvanized completely, a lot of areas they make you do that. If its gotta stay, keep digging back till you find a threaded connection and adapt from there. Or like Alan said, rent a hand threader and thread it in place.
